The Rise of Single Person Households

The number of single-person households (SPH) in Korea has increased fourfold since 1990. Their formidable spending power is prompting a major shift to products and services for singles such as housing, food packaging, protection and education programs. The SPH population is not expected to abate soon. Stress on size, efficiency, safety and personal fulfillment will be a long-term trend.
