| First half sales decreased drastically from the preceding year same period as delivery of monitor polarized film to Samsung Electronics was delayed. Net loss increased with poor operation rate and with cost exceeding sales as fixed cost burden increased. Financial structure is unstable with very high debt ratio and dependence and very low net worth ratio. |
| Sales of polarized film will be active as LCD-TV demand will increase in peak season while demand will also increase for 8th generation lines operated by Samsung Electronics. Synergy effect will be created, including decrease of material prices and improved product mix by combining the company’s outstanding technology with capital of Cheil Wool Textile. New vendors will hardly enter polarized film market because of economic and technological entry barriers, including massive initial capital investment, optical, chemical and film technologies. |
