| Sales increased over the preceding year same period with active shipment and steady price increase of rebar and shaped steel while hot-rolled steel sheet line newly started operation. Operating income increased over the preceding year same period as export of H-beams to Mideast and Europe increased and export price jumped by over 30%. Net profit increased over the preceding year same period with increased gains from evaluation of equity investment in Hyundai Motors and BNG Steel as their performance improved. |
| Sales growth will continue with increasing domestic sales for new city construction projects and active export of H-beams. Operating income will increase as production of mini mill will increase while material cost will be reduced by in-house produced slabs by introducing new technologies. Steady facility investment will increase production capacity while market control power will grow with Chinese government control on steel export. |
