| Excellent performance in all business areas except for internal projects led to an exterior expansion, but operating profit made a negative turn due to the completion of high-profit bearing projects, increased launch of new projects, and increase of advertising expenses related with the company's housing brand. Decrease in interest expenses and an increase in equity gain on investment helped pre-tax income to realize a year-on-year growth. As the company graduated from the workout program, net profit made a negative turn in the absence of corporate tax reduction privilege. New orders from the first half of 2007 amounted to KRW6.1 trillion to make the order balance reach KRW32.6 trillion, including KRW27.8 trillion for domestic business and KRW4.6 trillion for overseas business, and to secure a foundation for long-term growth. |

| The company will be able to continue on a stable growth trend based on its superb competitiveness in the public sector and an increase in overseas orders mainly from the Middle East. Pre-term reflection of large-scale losses from low-profit bearing projects in overseas construction business over three phases has improved the company's cost-income ratio for overseas business; profitability growth is expected to continue. As Hyundai recovered the sales competitiveness as one of the market leaders, strengthened the profit-generation foundation through Taean Corporate City Project, and improved the financial structure through profit generation, its competitiveness is expected to further enhance. |
