| Revenues fell after spinning off some affiliates such as Food BG, Doosan Tower and biological resources unit. Excluding the factors, revenue growth was stable. Excluding clothes, operating profits at most business divisions remained sluggish. In particular, operating profits were hit by provisions set aside to spin off a printing division. Doosan focused on laying a groundwork to turn itself into a holding company by slashing debts and spinning off a printing division. |
| Doosan expects to take more restructuring steps to turn itself into a holding company, while continuing to take over parts and technology companies that could create synergy effects with its affiliates. Doosan is likely to see growth in earnings at affiliates such as Doosan Heavy Industries, Doosan Infracore, SRS and biotechnology unit. Growth in profits is predicted to continue as the foreign exchange rates stabilize. |
