I. Economy

Amid fierce competition between three of China's major telecom operators in the 3G market, China Mobile shows a noticeable lead in the TD-LTE (Long Term Evolution) industry. With a recent increase in the number of mobile telecom subscribers, China Mobile is expanding investment as well as upgrading its technology equipment. China Mobile's technology investment and strategic partnership have had an impact on other telecom operators. The report analyzes the effect of China Mobile's strategies on the LTE competition of mobile equipment manufacturers, and the relationship between telecom operators and equipment manufacturers in the new era of wireless telecommunications.

II. Industry

With the Chinese LCD TV market showing signs of recovery in the first half of this year, and the government's active steps in backing up the growth of the panel industry, the TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display) panel market is gaining much attention. Accordingly, based on existing 5G production lines, many newcomers to the market are attempting to advance towards 7.5G/8.5G LCD panel production lines. In order to mobilize more funds and technologies, market newcomers are seeking cooperation with external investors. Under this backdrop, t he supply-demand relation between Taiwan's panel companies and China's TV makers is expanding at a rapid pace.
